Skating school: learn to skate while having fun on ice!
Skating school is meant for kids in the age of 3-8 years. In skating school you will learn to skate on weekly lessons with different themes.
On season 2026-2027 the lessons will be held on Mondays at 17.15-18 at Buugi training rink 2 (Sykeraitti 7, Jyväskylä). Enrolment to the fall season opens 1.8! Lessons start on 31.8, and the fall season ends to the club´s Christmas show on 12.12.
There are approximately 12–14 practice sessions per fall and spring season. No practices are held during autumn and winter (ski) holiday weeks. After skating school, the hobby can continue in a development group — coaches will guide skaters to a suitable group at the end of the fall season.
The fall season price for skating school is €120.00. The price includes the practices as well as an insured skating school pass obtained through the Finnish Figure Skating Association's SuomiSport service. The fall season fee will be invoiced on September 14. Registration can be cancelled free of charge until September 13 by notifying toimisto@jytls.fi of the cancellation — remember to mention the skater's name! Paid fall season fees will not be refunded.
Registration in MyClub is done using the child's own information. The club obtains skating school passes for participants. In order for us to obtain the passes, the skater's own Sportti ID must be provided at the time of registration. To create a Sportti ID, the skater's guardian needs to create an account in the SuomiSport service www.SuomiSport.fi and link the child to their own account.
NOTE! Those who took part in the fall season do not need to register again for the spring season. Season fees are invoiced separately for fall and spring.
